Hooksticks are manufactured in South Africa by E.L.M. Services using brass, aluminium and stainless steel, all of which are corrosion resistant. The aluminium is powder coated to avoid the grey deposit that is so often obtained when in contact with un-treated aluminium.
Based on the opinion of those who had attended the "Dewsbury CRAFTS cc" snake-handling course, the grips are "medium" knurled.
